Himachal: Landslide in Solan caused road to sink several meters, Chandigarh-Shimla highway closed

Solan/Shimla: A big news is coming from Himachal Pradesh, there has been a landslide incident at Chakki Mod near Parmanu in Solan district. After this incident of landslide, Chandigarh-Shimla NH (NH-5) highway has been closed for two days.

According to the information received, the road on Chandigarh-Shimla NH-5 has sunk for several meters. In such a situation, vehicles going to Shimla are using Parvanu Jangeshu Dharampur route. Whereas heavy vehicles are going from Nahan Kalaamb Kumharhatti road.

It is being told that the highway has been closed due to several meters of road sinking near Chakki Mor. Alam is that debris is still falling from the mountain, due to which the work of restoring operations on the road has not started.

In such a situation, people are facing a lot of trouble due to the closure of traffic on Chandigarh-Shimla NH-5. Solan police gave information on social media and said that Chandigarh-Kalka-Shimla Highway (NH-05) at Chakki Mor near Parwanoo Closed due to landslide.

Please follow the alternate traffic plan. The work of removing debris from the highway is going on, which will be informed when the highway opens. Two JCBs have been installed by the administration.
