Himachal: Fierce landslide in Nigulsari, National Highway missing 200 meters

Himachal Pradesh: A major landslide has occurred in Nigulsari in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The highway has disappeared here. On Thursday too, shooting stones had fallen on the vehicles here.

Big stones and debris had fallen on the moving HRTC bus here, due to which the bus fell into the ditch below. Since then, landslides have been happening continuously at this point. Early warning system has also been installed here.

This National Highway-05 connects Shimla to Kinnaur, on which a major landslide has occurred at Nigulsari ahead of Rampur. Earlier, on Thursday, big stones had fallen on trucks and pickups in Nigulsari here, after which this highway was closed.

Stones kept falling here continuously and later a big landslide occurred and the ground completely reached the river bank. Kinnaur Police says that beyond Rampur, Kinnaur has been cut off from Shimla.

However, the Reckong Peo to Kaza route is open. The movement from Shimla to Rampur is running smoothly. Be informed that the Kinnaur district administration had stopped movement on this route on Thursday night due to continuous falling of shooting stones, but now a landslide has happened.

Due to which now the contact of Kinnaur has been cut off. In such a situation, the supply of apples and other crops from Kinnaur has stopped.
