Samples of 15 medicines made in Himachal failed, stock recalled from the market

Baddi (Solan). Samples of 15 medicines of 12 companies manufactured in Himachal have failed. This has been revealed in the drug alert of October. The samples of medicines for depression, mucus, allergy, pain, wound healing, skin allergy, fever, high blood pressure, bacterial infection and wound infection have not been found to be up to the standards.

Two samples each from two companies of Baddi in Solan district and one company of Sirmaur have failed together. More than half of the 12 companies are RIC based companies, which the drug department has already inspected along with the central investigation team.

The Central Drug Control Organization had collected samples of a total of 1188 medicines in the country. Of these, 1126 samples were passed and 62 were found not to be correct on parameters, out of which 15 were medicines from Himachal.

Pain medicine Diclofenac, multivitamin, depression medicine Paroxerin and mucus medicine Ambroxol hydrochloride, calcium medicine, allergy medicine Cetirizine, Paracetamol Phenyl Fine Zinc, wound healing medicine Ascorbic Acid, two samples.

The samples of skin allergy medicine Pentaprazole, fever medicine, bile medicine Rabiros, BP medicine Telmisartan Amlodipine, bacterial infection medicine Tobra Mycin, wound infection medicine Povidone Iodine were not found to be up to the standards.
