New Delhi. The 42nd match of the ICC World Cup 2023 is being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In this match, Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Afghanistan has not made any changes in the playing eleven while South Africa has made two changes.

The Proteas team has qualified for the last four with 12 points. If Afghanistan wants to reach the semi-finals, it will have to defeat South Africa by a huge margin of 438 runs.Afghanistan’s playing eleven: Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi (captain), Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Ikram Alikhil (wicketkeeper), Mujeeb Ur Rehman, Noor Ahmed, Naveen Ul Haq.

South Africa’s playing eleven: Quinton de Kock (wicketkeeper), Temba Bavuma (captain), Rassie van der Dussen, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, Andile Phehlukwayo, David Miller, Gerald Coetzee, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi.

Afghanistan has performed brilliantly so far in this World Cup. Afghan fighters have defeated former world champions England, Sri Lanka and Pakistan in this World Cup. Afghanistan will have to perform miraculously against South Africa to reach the semi-finals.

Afghanistan team is at sixth position in the points table with 8 points from 4 wins in 8 matches. Afghanistan and South African teams have met once so far in ODI, where the Proteas team has won, while South Africa has also been the winner in two T20s. Afghanistan will have to try its best to win against South Africa.
