Sultanpur. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appeared in the MP-MLA court of Sultanpur on Tuesday in the defamation case. During this period, Congress workers were also present in the court premises. Rahul Gandhi surrendered in the court.

After this the court granted him bail. It is noteworthy that during the Karnataka Assembly elections, he had made objectionable remarks on the then BJP National President and current Home Minister Amit Shah. Hurt by this, BJP leader and former co-operative chairman Vijay Mishra had filed a complaint in the MP-MLA court of the civil court.

Hearing was held today in this matter. Therefore, he left the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and surrendered in the court.
Vijay Mishra, who filed the complaint, said that Rahul Gandhi had made indecent remarks against the then national president of a national party. He had called Amit Shah a murderer.
