New Delhi:The Supreme Court has once more chastised the Delhi government concerning the persistent issues of pollution and stubble burning in the Delhi-NCR region. During the proceedings, the Supreme Court expressed reservations about the efficacy of the odd-even scheme proposed by the Delhi government as a measure to mitigate pollution in the capital.
The Court remarked that the government has the authority to implement whatever measures it deems necessary and urged it to take decisive action. The justices emphasized that they do not wish to interfere with the decision-making process and underlined that the consequences of the scheme are a direct result of its implementation.
The Court encouraged the Delhi government to make informed decisions and asserted that it will not impede the authorities in their efforts to address the critical issue of pollution.
