Police say that Sudipto Sen, the director of ‘The Kerala Story’, informed the Mumbai Police that one of the film’s crew members had received a threatening message from an unknown number.
Police said, “The person sending the message threatened the crew member, asking him not to leave the house alone. He has not done a good job by showing this story. After receiving the threat, he was provided security by the police, but no FIR could be registered because no written complaint was lodged in this regard.
On the other hand, the Trinamool Congress government led by Mamta Banerjee in West Bengal banned this controversial film. The state government banned the telecast of the film, saying it could disturb “peace” and spread hatred and violence.
