Mumbai: The era of controversies regarding ‘The Kerala Story’ is not taking its name. Today, According to the information, the crew member of the film has received threats, after which he has been provided security by the Mumbai Police.

On behalf of the Mumbai Police, it was said that a threatening message was sent to a crew member of the film ‘The Kerala Story’ from an unknown phone number. Police say that Sudipto Sen, the director of ‘The Kerala Story’, informed the Mumbai Police that one of the film’s crew members had received a threatening message from an unknown number.

Police said, “The person sending the message threatened the crew member, asking him not to leave the house alone. He has not done a good job by showing this story. After receiving the threat, he was provided security by the police, but no FIR could be registered because no written complaint was lodged in this regard.

On the other hand, the Trinamool Congress government led by Mamta Banerjee in West Bengal banned this controversial film. The state government banned the telecast of the film, saying it could disturb “peace” and spread hatred and violence.

West Bengal has become the first state in the country to ban the film ‘The Kerala Story’. This is a film based on the struggles of three women. And it is shown that their religion is first converted through marriage. Then how do they reach the ISIS camp through smuggling.

However, there is a lot of protest against the film at the political level and criticism is also being done on behalf of many people. While the film has been banned in Bengal, the film has been made tax-free in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan criticized it, calling it “RSS propaganda”.

On her decision to ban the film, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, “This decision has been taken to avoid any untoward incident of hatred and violence, as well as to maintain peace and order in the state.” CM Mamta has instructed the Chief Secretary of the state to remove the film from the theaters where it is being shown.

Producer Expressing disappointment over the state government’s decision to ban the film, the film’s producer Vipul Amritlal Shah said that he can use the legal option against the government’s decision. He told the news agency ANI that if the state government does not listen to us, then we will use the legal option. take legal help on this
