As soon as the information was received, the police and fire brigade immediately reached the spot. After about two hours of effort, the fire brigade was able to control the fire. On the other hand, the nearby people and hotel workers also jumped from the roof of the neighboring Dharamshala and took the passengers out safely.

Significantly, most of the passengers had reached Ujjain from Lucknow, Gwalior and other places to visit Baba Mahakal. Many passengers were about to return after visiting, while many people reached Ujjain in the night itself.

At present all the passengers are safe. Please tell, the security arrangements inside the hotel were inadequate. Fire extinguishers were found switched off here. The exit from the hotel was also the same. It was told that the fire started due to short circuit.
