Kolkata. Stones were pelted at Union Minister of State for Home Nisith Pramanik’s convoy in West Bengal, this stone pelting happened when he was on tour in Dinhata area of Cooch Behar, West Bengal. Pramanik alleged that Trinamool Congress supporters carried out the attack. In this stone pelting, the windshield of the Union Minister’s SUV was broken. To control the unruly crowd, the police had to fire tear gas shells.
Union Minister of State for Home Nisith Pramanik is an MP from Coochbehar. He said that ‘if a minister is not safe, you can imagine the plight of the common man. This incident shows the condition of democracy in Bengal. At the time of this attack, Union Minister of State for Home Nisith Pramanik was going to the local BJP office.
On the attack on Home Affairs MoS Nisith Pramanik’s convoy in Coochbehar allegedly by TMC people, he said that ‘democracy has collapsed here’. The leader-minister is not safe here. The administration is ignoring those who are pelting stones and bombings, the police is protecting them.While p. Suvendu Adhikari, Leader of the Opposition in the Bengal Legislative Assembly, said that there is no security for the people of Bengal.
The attack on our MoS did not happen suddenly, it happened under the supervision of the police. The central government should take action on this. Action should be taken against SP Cooch Behar and DGP.Trinamool Congress (TMC) general secretary Abhishek Banerjee recently at a rally in Coochbehar targeted Pramanik for not doing enough to address the concerns of tribals after the murder.
On the other hand, TMC General Secretary Kunal Ghosh said after this incident that this is a demonstration of the local people. BJP has instigated this. There are already some problems there. Such an incident has happened, but TMC is not involved in it.
