UN official said on Bharat vs India issue – we will consider

New Delhi. The reaction of the United Nations has come amid the discussion about changing the name from India to Bharat. The top UN official said that if there is a proposal to name India in the United Nations, we will consider it.

Let us tell you that the discussion on Bharat vs India started when the letter with ‘President of India’ instead of ‘President of India’ on the invitation letter of G20 Summit went viral.

Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesperson of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, was asked what would happen if India’s name came up for proposal in the UN. Answering this question, he said that if such a proposal comes, it will be considered.

He also gave the example of Turkey changing its name to Turkiye and agreeing to the formal request of the United Nations. Farhan Haq, in his statement based on the reports of India changing its name to Bharat, said, ‘In the case of Turkiye, there This action was taken forward after a formal request was given to us by the government.

Obviously, if we get such requests, we consider them. Let us tell you that the opposition is protesting in one voice on the India vs India issue.
