Amethi. Police have arrested a youth for allegedly threatening to kill Bhim Army chief and Azad Samaj Party national president Chandrashekhar Azad on a Facebook page named ‘Kshatriya of Amethi’.

Police said that the car used in the attack was recovered from Miragpur village in Saharanpur district on Wednesday night. The number plate of the car is from Haryana.

After which, taking cognizance of the threat to kill Azad on the Facebook page named ‘Kshatriya of Amethi’, the police registered a case under Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Information Technology (IT) Act at the Gauriganj police station. was registered.
A statement issued by Amethi Superintendent of Police Elamaran said that a case was registered against Vimlesh Singh (30) of Basantpur village in Amethi and arrested on Thursday evening.
According to the statement, prima facie Vimlesh Singh has not been found to be related to the incident of attack on the Bhim Army chief in Saharanpur. Action was taken against Vimlesh Singh to maintain peace.
