Uttarkashi: Rescue operation is going on war footing to save the workers trapped in the tunnel in Uttarkashi. The Central Government has said that in view of the challenges, the rescue work of 41 stranded laborers may take up to 15 days.
The agencies involved in the rescue say that the next 40 hours are very important. A major breakthrough was achieved when the rescue team managed to lay a 57 meter long, 6 inch wide pipe to send large quantities of solid food and water.
After this, hot food is now being served to the workers. Doctors sent to the spot have advised the stranded workers to do yoga, walk and talk to each other.Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also spoken to Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami to take stock of the rescue efforts.
Let us tell you that on the morning of Diwali (November 12), 41 laborers were trapped after a part of the tunnel collapsed at a distance of 160 meters from the entrance in Silkyara.
