New Delhi: Rescue operation of 41 laborers trapped in the under construction Silkyara Tunnel connecting Char Dham Yatra in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand is going on. However, a total of 17 days have passed since this rescue operation.
But due to various kinds of obstacles, the rescue work is getting affected again and again. In this context, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, who arrived again today for inspection, said that very soon the workers trapped in the tunnel will be taken out.
Talking to the press on the rescue work of Uttarkashi tunnel accident, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “About 52 meters of pipe has gone inside, about 57 meters of pipe has to be pushed inside.
After this one more pipe will be installed. Earlier during drilling, steel etc. was being found, which has now reduced. Now cement concrete is being received, which is being cut with cutters.” Apart from this he said, “All the engineers, experts and other people are working with their full strength.
So far, the pipe has gone inside 52 meters. The way the work is going on, we are hopeful that there will be some success soon. As soon as the pipe goes through the pipe, the process of bringing them out will begin. Everyone is fine.”
