Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue: As of Wednesday, the operation to rescue workers who have been trapped for over 11 days in the aftermath of the Silkyara tunnel collapse in Uttarkashi has entered its final stage. Notably, a contingent of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel has successfully entered the tunnel as part of the ongoing rescue efforts.
According to statements from the NDRF rescue team, it is anticipated that the entire operation will be concluded by 8 am on Thursday.Late at night, crucial medical equipment was delivered to the site, and in response to the pressing need for medical facilities, a temporary hospital has been established in the vicinity.
To further expedite the rescue efforts, seven technical experts have been summoned from Delhi, and they are expected to arrive at the site directly. The involvement of these specialists is anticipated to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the ongoing rescue mission.
The District Magistrate of Uttarkashi, Abhishek Ruhela, has also reached the site to oversee and coordinate the rescue operations. The collaborative efforts of the NDRF personnel, medical teams, technical experts, and local authorities signify a comprehensive and coordinated approach aimed at ensuring the successful completion of the rescue operation, bringing relief to the workers who have been trapped for an extended period in the Silkyara tunnel collapse.
