16 people died in Vadodara boat accident, FIR against 18

New Delhi: In response to the tragic boat accident in Vadodara, Gujarat, law enforcement authorities have taken significant measures. An FIR has been filed against 18 individuals in relation to the unfortunate incident that claimed the lives of 14 people.

The incident occurred when a boat capsized in Harni Lake on Thursday, resulting in the heartbreaking loss of 12 students and two teachers in Vadodara city, Gujarat.Actually, these students had come for picnic and were taking boat ride in Harni Lake when this accident happened in the afternoon.

Officials had said that there were 27 people on board the boat, which included 23 students and four teachers. The Gujarat government ordered a high-level inquiry into the incident and directed the Vadodara District Collector to submit the inquiry report within 10 days.

Gujarat’s Minister of State for Home Sanghvi told reporters, ’12 students and two teachers died in the boat capsizing incident. A total of 18 students and two teachers were rescued. We have found that only 10 students were wearing life jackets on the boat, which proves that the organizers were at fault.’

Sanghvi said that sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 308 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) An FIR has been registered under (attempt to murder) and two people have been arrested. He told that a team has been formed to arrest other culprits.
