Notably, 68 Flights Faced Cancellations, and Additional Measures Included Diverting Four Flights to Jaipur and One to Ahmedabad.According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of cold wave in the plains of North-West India for the next three days.
A weak western disturbance may affect the western Himalayan region on January 16. Due to its effect, there may be light and heavy rains at some places in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh from 16 to 17 January and in Uttarakhand from 17 to 18 January. Besides, there is a possibility of rain at some places in Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and North-Eastern states.
According to IMD, the night temperature of Delhi will remain cold for the next three days, till Wednesday, January 17 it will remain around 4 degrees Celsius. After that till Friday, January 19, it is likely to remain at 5 to 6 degrees Celsius.
IMD has issued a cold wave alert in the national capital for Tuesday and Wednesday. There is a possibility of more clouds than normal on Tuesday and Wednesday, along with dense to very dense fog in the morning.
