New Delhi:As snow blankets the mountains, the plains experience an intense cold spell. In the midst of the prevailing severe cold in North India, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a fog warning for several northern and north-eastern states in the upcoming four days.
According to IMD, the likelihood of dense to very dense fog in various regions of Punjab for the next four days. Additionally, the Meteorological Department issues a cautionary advisory for dense fog conditions during mornings in different parts of Haryana over the next three days.
Furthermore, fog warnings have been issued for northern Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura for the next two days, with Odisha expected to experience fog on December 23 and 24.Apart from this, fog warning has also been issued for northern Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next two days and Odisha on 23 and 24 December.
Due to this, visibility may remain less than 200 meters. Moderate fog is expected in the morning on Sunday also.Light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible in Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh during the next 2 days. Light rain and snowfall is possible in Uttarakhand on 23 and 24 December. Light rain is possible in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
