New Delhi: Indrani Mukherjee was accused of murdering her daughter Sheena Bora, which has been told in detail in the documentary ‘The Indrani Mukherjee Story: Buried Truth’. Whatever came to light in the case after investigation, shook the high society of Mumbai and the entire country.
The incident changed the lives of the Mukherjee and Bora families forever.Indrani was married to media veteran Peter Mukherjee. In 2015, he was arrested for the murder of Sheena Bora. After her arrest, Indrani was sent to judicial custody in Byculla jail in Mumbai.
According to a report, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took over the case and booked Indrani under sections 302 (murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence), 34 (criminal conspiracy), 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code.
Charges were registered under sections 364 (kidnapping) and 120-B (conspiracy).Directed by Uraj Bahl and Shana Levy, the four-episode series examines the complexities of the high-profile Sheena Bora case, premiering on February 23.
