Patna: The Bihar police filed an FIR against a famous YouTuber Khan Sir, and others in Patna in link with violent protests over results in the railway recruitment exams conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board for the Non-Technical Popular Categories (RRB NTPC). Khan Sir holds coaching classes for competitive examinations.
The FIR has been registered on the basis of statements given by agitating students who were detained on Monday and Tuesday in Patna. They purportedly said they were motivated to indulge in violence after a video, in which Khan Sir allegedly instigated “students along with coaching institute owners plotted a conspiracy to carry out large-scale violence in Patna to threaten law and order”.

What Khan sir’s stand on this?
Before the FIR was registered against him, Khan Sir reportedly told media that he should be arrested if he had a role to play in the violence. He held the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) responsible for the violence and said they gave the same results to intermediate and graduate students.
He said this only benefitted the graduate students. He blamed the RRB for the protests taking a violent turn.
Who is Khan Sir?
Though, Khan Sir has never revealed his real name, yet some people claim on social media that his name was Amit Singh. However, some also claimed that his name was Faisal Khan and he was a resident of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.
However, Khan Sir himself says the coaching institute in which he was teaching had asked him to not reveal his real name or share his personal number. He said some students started addressing him as Khan Sir. “When the time comes, everyone will know [my real name],” he said.

Political support
In support of Khan Sir, Jan Adhikar Party leader Pappu Yadav said the oppression of students and teachers must stop, “It is unfortunate to sue teachers in the RRB-NTPC agitation case,” the leader said.
You” [the government] played with the future of the students, so the students have come out on the streets now. If you had fulfilled your responsibility, this situation wouldn’t have come. That’s why I am saying — stop the oppression of teachers and students. If you want to arrest, then arrest me first.”
Meanwhile, Khan sir also got support from former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi who said, “No one has the right to violence and sabotage under the Constitution. The time has come for the government to talk about employment else the situation could become worse than this. The cases against teachers, including Khan Sir, can further incite violence in the protest.”
Talking about the allegations of inciting violence were levelled against him, Khan Sir reportedly released a video in which he appealed to students to keep their movement peaceful. He said that if they turned to violence, no one would support them.
