Pune: There is a rift within the NDA in Maharashtra again. The BJP leader has made such a demand, which shows that everything is not well within the NDA. A BJP official from Shirur in Pune district has demanded the removal of Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and his NCP from the ruling NDA alliance.
It is important to mention here that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena is also included in the ruling alliance in Maharashtra. BJP leader and Shirur Tehsil Vice President Sudarshan Chaudhary has made this demand in the party meeting. Its video is viral on social media.
In the viral video, BJP’s Shirur Tehsil Vice President Sudarshan Chaudhary is demanding Ajit Pawar’s ouster from the alliance in a party meeting. However, after seeing the video, the Ajit faction’s NCP has become furious. Ajit faction’s NCP has strongly reacted to the BJP leader’s demand. NCP workers attacked the BJP leader on Thursday and asked him to apologize.
During the meeting, Sudarshan Chaudhary said to the BJP leadership in the video, ‘This is my suggestion for you. Listen to what the party workers are thinking. If you really want to take a decision, remove Ajit Pawar from the Mahayuti (ruling NDA alliance).’
He also said that senior leaders like Subhash Deshmukh, Rahul Kulkarni and Yogesh Tilekar, who were present at the meeting, could have become ministers and others could have been made heads of state-run corporations if Ajit Pawar was not part of the ruling party.
BJP leader Chaudhary claimed that the BJP had been opposing Ajit Pawar for the last 10 years, but now the workers are scared as the power is in the hands of the deputy chief minister. All BJP workers in the tehsil wish that they do not want a power in which Ajit Pawar is a part. In the video, Chaudhary further said, ‘Why should Ajit Pawar be brought to power, because he will issue orders and suppress BJP workers.’
