Prayagraj. The CJM court approved the custodial remand of the three murderers of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf on Wednesday. The SIT has got the custody remand of the three accused for four days.
Custody remand for 7 days was sought by the SIT by filing an application in the CJM court. Now the SIT will interrogate the accused by taking them into custody and will also recreate the crime scene.
In the Atiq-Ashraf murder case, the SIT will collect evidence through deliberations and recreate the crime scene. SIT can recreate the crime scene by taking Calvin to Motilal Nehru Divisional Hospital this evening.
The SIT has recorded the statements of the three accused with the permission of the court. Earlier, police brought the three accused, Lavlesh Tiwari, Sunny Singh and Arun Maurya from Pratapgarh jail, to the CJM court amid tight security.
The court of CJM DK Gautam approved the custody remand after the hearing. After the completion of the custody remand, the police will present the accused in the court on April 23. Adequate security arrangements were made in the district court for the production of the accused.
