Anti-terror operation continues for the third day in Anantnag

New Delhi: Anti-terrorist operation continues for the third consecutive day in Kokernag of Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces have surrounded at least three terrorists, including Lashkar’s local commander Uzair Khan.

A reward of Rs 10 lakh has been declared on Uzair’s head and he is a resident of Jammu and Kashmir. He has been involved in many incidents in the past and has managed to escape after being surrounded in an encounter.

Let us tell you that at least 2 more army officers have been injured in the encounter that has been going on since the morning of 13 September. Security forces are using IEDs to destroy the area where terrorists are hiding.

Earlier on Wednesday, two army officers and a Deputy Superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir Police were killed in a fierce exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists.

In the encounter that took place in Rajouri on September 12, one Indian Army soldier and Doggie Kent were shot dead. The army and police launched a joint search operation to search for the terrorists late on Tuesday night.
