Arunachal Pradesh: Earthquake tremors felt in Tawang on Saturday morning

Tawang: Earthquake tremors have been reported from Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. Earthquake tremors were felt in Tawang on Saturday morning. The intensity of the earthquake was 3.3 on the Richter scale.

At present, there is no information about any loss of life or property due to the earthquake. When the earthquake struck, people were sleeping inside their houses and some were awake.

Officials said that the tremors were felt at 6.56 am. The epicenter of the earthquake was in Tawang.

Earlier, there was an earthquake in Arunachal Pradesh on June 11. Then the tremors of the earthquake were felt at 6:34 in the morning. The earthquake occurred in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 3.2 on the Richter scale and it was at a depth of 33 km. Tawang is one of the 25 districts of Arunachal Pradesh. Tawang is often in the news because it is on the India-China border.
