New Delhi. The news of a painful accident has come to light from Dhaka, Bangladesh. An explosion occurred in a multi-storey building in Gulistan area of Dhaka. About 15 people died in this accident. And more than 100 people have been injured.
The incident happened near the BRTC bus counter at around 4:45 pm on Tuesday evening. Rashid bin Khalid, the duty officer of the fire service control room, said that 11 fire fighting units are working at the spot for relief and rescue operations.
The cause of the explosion could not be immediately ascertained.DMCH Police Station Inspector Bachhu Miyan said that the injured have been taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He told that all of them are being treated in the emergency unit of the hospital.
Brigadier General Mohammad Najmul Haq, director of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, told reporters that 14 people injured in the explosion died after being taken to the hospital.
