CM Arvind Kejriwal gets a big blow from the court, the judge sent him to 14 days judicial custody

New Delhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has received a big setback from the court in the money laundering case related to the alleged liquor scam in Delhi. Rouse Avenue Court has sent CM Kejriwal to jail in judicial custody for 14 days. Let us tell you that CBI officials brought Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is in jail in the Delhi’s repealed liquor policy case, to Rouse Avenue Court on Saturday.

CBI told the court that it no longer needs the remand of CM Arvind Kejriwal. Also, the investigating agency demanded the court to send CM Kejriwal to judicial custody. The court, considering the demand of CBI, has sent CM Kejriwal to judicial custody.CBI had applied to send Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to Tihar Jail in judicial custody.

The investigating agency had accused CM Kejriwal of not cooperating in the investigation. CBI said that Kejriwal deliberately did not answer the questions related to the liquor scam. The investigating agency claims that CM Kejriwal did not give the right answer even on the reason for increasing the profit margin from 5 percent to 12 percent in the new liquor policy.

Let us tell you that earlier ED had detained CM Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case related to liquor scam. ED had also accused Kejriwal of not cooperating in the investigation.CBI argued in the court on Saturday that when the second wave of Corona was going on in the country, what was the need to change the liquor policy in the cabinet? The investigating agency had said that why was there so much hurry in implementing the liquor policy? CBI told that the accused in the case related to South Lobby were staying in Delhi.

They were in contact with Vijay Nair, a close aide of CM Kejriwal. The agency alleged that during the interrogation, Arvind Kejriwal kept avoiding answering all the questions like several meetings of his close aide Vijay Nair with liquor businessmen, demanding bribe of crores of rupees, use of about Rs 44.5 crore received as bribe in Goa elections, reason for meeting with Magunta Srinivasallu Reddy, Arjun Pandey and Mutha Gautam.
