New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party MLAs, led by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, marched to the Lieutenant Governor’s office on Monday to protest against alleged interference in the functioning of the Delhi government. The march began after the proceedings of the Delhi Assembly were adjourned for the day.
The Delhi Chief Minister said to the reporters , “Who is LG sahab to stop teachers’ training? In a response to the Delhi government proposal, we have been told to do cost-benefit analysis of teachers’ training in Finland… Salaries of doctors in Mohalla clinics have been stopped. Is he doing all this at the behest of the BJP?” The Delhi Chief Minister and other AAP leaders were also seen carrying banners as they raised slogans.
दिल्ली को तानाशाही नहीं बल्कि संविधान और जनतंत्र चाहिए। जनता के हक़ के लिए हमारा संघर्ष जारी रहेगा। https://t.co/t9qYgJwMFw

Top AAP leaders have alleged that the Lt Governor returned the Finland file twice. Earlier, Kejriwal claimed that “soldiers have been sacrificing their lives to protect the country, and they get a salary of Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 per month.” The day a soldier starts analyzing the value of his life, that day neither you nor the country will survive.
“Here, we are determined to make our children’s future bright, and you are asking for a cost-benefit analysis of their future.” Sisodia said that around 30 teachers are ready for the tour. “The file was sent to the LG office for his approval in October, but he denied its approval.
He mentioned in the file that teachers are sent to the University of Finland for training, irrespective of whether they have prior teaching experience or not, and regardless of whether DoPT regulations are being followed or not. In response the file was sent back to LG. He then requested that a cost-benefit analysis be done and such training be organized across the country. Sisodia read out the LG’s comments on the file returned to the Finland government and said, “The pass rate in Delhi government schools has increased from 75% to 99.6% since our government took over.”
He further said that Without any coaching our students are getting success in NEET, JEE and other competitive exams. What additional cost-benefit analysis do you require? This is the result of quality education. Meanwhile, high drama was seen in the Delhi assembly too on Monday as the House was adjourned amid row over LG Saxena’s alleged remarks about the Supreme Court (SC)’s 2018 ruling on the power tussle between the government and the Centre.
