Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage at this time. However, the night-time tremors left people visibly frightened. It’s worth noting that on November 3, a more severe earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 struck Jajarkot, Nepal, claiming the lives of at least 153 people and leaving thousands homeless.

The aftermath of this disaster has compelled many to live in tents, exposing them to the harsh cold. Tragically, five individuals living in tents have already succumbed to the cold. Local officials estimate that over 34,000 families in Jajarkot are residing in tents due to complete destruction of their homes in the earlier earthquake.

Adding to the seismic activity in the region, on November 17, Myanmar also experienced earthquake tremors. A 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck northeastern Myanmar on a Friday morning, with the epicenter approximately 76 km southwest of Keng Tung city in Shan state, reaching a depth of 10 km. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties or property damage resulting from this earthquake.
