Kathmandu:Late on Friday night, Nepal was struck by a powerful 6.4 magnitude earthquake, causing widespread devastation and chaos. The tremors extended into North India, including the National Capital Region. Tragically, the death toll in the North-Western districts of Nepal is steadily rising, with 132 lives lost so far and numerous individuals injured.
Meanwhile, rescue teams are diligently conducting operations in hillside villages to save those in need.Not only this, it is being told that many buildings have also collapsed and hundreds of people may be buried under the debris.
This earthquake has caused major devastation in Jajarkot and Rukum.Nepal PMO tweeted that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed deep sorrow over the human and material loss caused by the earthquake in Ramidanda, Jajarkot at 11:47 pm on Friday night and has deployed all 3 security agencies for immediate rescue and relief.
