Earthquake: Today, Myanmar experienced seismic tremors as an earthquake shook the region

New Delhi:Once again the earth shook in the area around India, this time in Myanmar. The earth shook this morning, causing concern among local residents. According to the US Geological Survey report, a seismic event of 5.7 magnitude occurred in northeastern Myanmar on Friday.

The epicenter was located about 76 km southwest of Keng Tung city in Shan State at a depth of about 10 km. Fortunately, there are no reports of any casualties or property damage at this time.The earthquake shook northeastern Myanmar, which people did not notice until early in the morning as they were still sleeping. Startled residents were seen hastily running to the safety of their homes.

It is noteworthy that the affected area is located near the borders of China, Laos and Thailand. Apart from this, earthquake tremors were also felt in Chiang Mai, Thailand’s second largest city and a popular tourist destination.Let us tell you that recently, on November 15, there was a strong earthquake in Pakistan at 5.35 in the morning, due to which people were scared.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the intensity of this earthquake was 5.2 on the Richter scale, the tremors of which were felt by the people for a few seconds. Earlier on Tuesday, an earthquake of magnitude 6.2 occurred in Columba, Sri Lanka.
