Washington: During the Electronic Dance Music Festival in the US state of Washington, a large-scale shooting occurred at a campground near the city of George on Saturday night. Two people have died and three have been injured in this incident.
According to the information received, the police received information about firing at the music festival at around 8:25 pm. According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred at a campground near the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington.
The suspected shooter fled the scene, according to Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kyle Foreman. The foreman said the suspect opened fire on the crowd while fleeing. However, he was later taken into custody.
Foreman said that the George Amphitheater was hosting a two-day music festival called Beyond Wonderland at the time, and the campground was located several hundred yards from the venue.
The campground said in a tweet on Saturday night, ‘Please avoid the George Gate H campground area as it is controlled by local authorities and closed due to an incident. There is no threat to the festival or the campgrounds.
