Gas leak in Punjab’s Ludhiana factory, 11 killed…, NDRF took over the front

Ludhiana. 11 people have died while many people have become ill due to gas leaking in a factory located on Sua Road in Giaspura area of Ludhiana, Punjab. Some people who were victims of gas leak had died on the road due to gas.

There is also news of the death of a grocery shopkeeper. NDRF jawans have sealed the entire area and rescue work is on. Local people have been asked to move to safer places. On the other hand, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has expressed grief over the incident.

He tweeted, “The incident of gas leakage from the factory in Gyaspura area of Ludhiana is extremely sad..Police, government and NDRF teams are present at the spot..All possible help is being provided..Rest information soon.”

Official sources said that the condition of about 10 people who complained of difficulty in breathing remains critical. Gas leak victims have been admitted to nearby hospitals. This incident has spread panic among the local people.
