The latest blast took place about two kilometers from the first incident site. The fresh blast near the Golden Temple took place at one o’clock in the night near Sri Guru Ramdas Sarai, located on the corridor side. The police have detained a young man and a woman. Both have been taken into custody from a nearby inn.
Shri Guru Ram Das Sarai has been evacuated after hearing the sound of the explosion. At the same place where there is news of the blast, ropes have been tied by the police. In fact, there is not much movement of common people in the place where the blast took place.
SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami will reach the spot in a while. According to the sources, the name of the youth who has been detained by the police is Yadveer Singh and he is a resident of Gurdaspur. Some explosive material has also been recovered from a bag found with him.
