After the success in both of these, the phase three trial of this vaccine is to be done, which will be done by ICMR. In its first trial, the safety of the vaccine was checked. In the second trial, it was seen whether antibodies are formed from it or not. Now in the third trial, it will be checked how effective or not it is against dengue.
Information has been given by ICMR scientist Dr. Sarita Nair on when the Phase 3 trial of the dengue vaccine will be completed and when this vaccine will be available to the people of India to prevent dengue. Let’s know..
Answer- Phase-3 trial of dengue vaccine is going to start in the third quarter of this year. That is, two quarters of the year 2024 are going to be completed by June, so this trial is likely to start from July-August 2024.
ICMR informed that 19 places have been identified in the country for this trial. It will take 3 years from enrollment to completion for this trial. ICMR is going to do this trial with full force. It is expected to be successful.
