New Delhi. Today the central and state government are already alert regarding Hanuman Jayanti. The Ministry of Home Affairs has given special instructions to all the states and union territories for Hanuman Jayanti. On the other hand, the Calcutta High Court also directed the West Bengal government to deploy central forces in sensitive areas of the state.
Acting swiftly on the instructions of the Calcutta High Court, the Union Home Ministry has deployed paramilitary forces to assist the state police in West Bengal during Hanuman Jayanti. A spokesperson for the home minister tweeted late Wednesday evening, “Central Armed Police Forces have been deployed in West Bengal to assist the state police in maintaining law and order during Hanuman Jayanti.”
Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry on Wednesday directed all the states and union territories to ensure law and order and peace on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti and keep an eye on factors likely to disrupt communal harmony in the society.
The Home Minister’s Office tweeted, ‘State/UT governments are encouraged to maintain law and order, maintain peace during the festival and keep an eye on all kinds of factors that have the potential to disturb communal harmony in the society. ‘
