New Delhi: India has listed the schedule of the meeting in Srinagar in the G20 calendar regardless of China and Pakistan. China and Pakistan were objecting to the G20 meeting in Srinagar, but India announced the dates thwarting the nefarious designs of both the countries.
China had objected to the G20 meeting held in Arunachal Pradesh. At the same time, Pakistan had lobbied its allies in G20 like Saudi Arabia, Turkey and China to stop the G20 meeting in Srinagar.
Last month, at the G20 meeting in Arunachal Pradesh, China showed its fury by releasing new names of 11 places in the Indian state in Mandarin language. India on Friday updated its G20 calendar and released the schedule for holding the G20 Working Group meeting on tourism in Srinagar from May 22 to 24.
Like the Arunachal Pradesh meeting, China may also remain absent in the Srinagar meeting. He said that like Arunachal, there was never any doubt about the G20 meeting in Srinagar. Preparations for this meeting were started last year itself.
