Lucknow. After all the ups and downs, an agreement has been reached regarding seat sharing between Samajwadi Party and Congress under the India Alliance in Uttar Pradesh. According to information received from sources, Congress will contest elections on 17 seats in Uttar Pradesh.

However, Congress has demanded changes from the Samajwadi Party regarding two seats. Let us tell you that on Tuesday itself, the list of 17 seats was sent to the Congress by the Samajwadi Party and it was asked to reach an agreement on this only.

According to sources, out of these 17 seats, Congress has demanded changes in two seats. Congress has asked for the seats of Sitapur and Shravasti instead of Bulandshahr and Hathras. Now it is being said that Akhilesh Yadav has accepted this proposal and the alliance can be announced any time today or Thursday.

Congress has got 17 seats in Uttar Pradesh under the Indi alliance. Apart from Rae Bareli, Amethi, Kanpur seats, Fatehpur Sikri, Bansgaon, Saharanpur seats are included. Apart from this, Congress candidate will also contest as alliance candidate in Prayagraj, Maharajganj, Varanasi, Amroha, Jhansi, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, Mathura, Sitapur, Barabanki and Deoria. According to sources, currently amendments are proposed on one or two seats, which means changes may be seen.

On the question asked about the alliance, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said, “All is well that ends well… Yes, there will be an alliance. There is no dispute. Everything will become clear soon. Will come forward. Everything will be revealed in a few hours.” Let us tell you that a joint press conference can also be held by both the parties in this regard.
