Lucknow. After building houses for the poor in Prayagraj on the land freed from the possession of mafia Atiq Ahmed, now houses for economically weaker people will be built on the confiscated house of Mukhtar Ansari in the capital Lucknow.
Yogi government has made preparations for this and approval for construction has also been received. The property seized by the government has been transferred to Lucknow Development Authority. Now LDA will construct 72 EWS houses on this land.
It is noteworthy that Mukhtar Ansari had got the enemy property transferred in the name of his family and constructed a luxurious house on it. In 2020, Lucknow Development Authority had bulldozed this illegal encroachment and demolished it and the land went back to the government.
Additional Chief Secretary Housing Nitin Ramesh Gokarn issued an order to hand over this land to LDA on October 5. Now 72 EWS houses will be constructed on this land.
