UP Bijli Strike: 4 hours meeting with Energy Minister inconclusive, talks will be held again today

Lucknow. The strike of the electricity workers in UP continues on Sunday as well. A 4-hour meeting with union leaders and Energy Minister AK Sharma on Saturday remained inconclusive. After which the union leaders said that the strike will continue till the demands are met. Meanwhile, on Sunday once again there will be talks between the Energy Minister and the union leaders.

On the other hand, the strict form of the government is also going on amidst the talks. In Hazratganj, Lucknow, 22 unions have filed an FIR against the Taos. A case has been registered against all under ESMA. Now they can be arrested at any time. At the same time, 1332 contract workers have been dismissed from their jobs.

On Saturday, Energy Minister AK Sharma said in a press conference that if the contract workers do not return to duty by 6 pm, they will also be fired. In their place, students of Polytechnic and ITI will be appointed by training them.

Meanwhile, the effect of the strike of the electrical workers has also started showing. Due to non-availability of electricity in many districts, many problems are coming to the fore. Where people are troubled due to lack of electricity, water crisis has also arisen. The district administration is also struggling to deal with these problems. On the other hand, people were also seen on the streets due to the power crisis in many places.
