Nitish Kumar resigns from the post of Chief Minister of Bihar

Nitish Kumar Bihar CM:Patna. Nitish Kumar has resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Bihar. Nitish Kumar left for Raj Bhavan after completing the meeting with JDU legislative party at the CM residence and submitted his resignation to Governor Rajendra Arlekar. Now he is going to form the government with BJP.

According to the information received, he will take oath as Chief Minister today at 4 pm. There is news that along with CM Nitish, 3 ministers from BJP will also take oath. On the other hand, Hindustan Awam Morcha chief Jitan Ram Manjhi has given his letter of support to BJP to form the NDA government.

Currently, JDU has 45 MLAs in Bihar Assembly, while BJP has 76 and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) has 4 MLAs. In such a situation, these three parties have a total of 125 MLAs, which is three more than the magical majority figure of 122 required to form the government.

On the other hand, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav is also keeping a close eye on the situation. Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav is also saying that it will be difficult for Nitish Kumar to change sides this time. However, at present RJD has 79 MLAs, Congress 19 and Left parties 16. In such a situation, they will need some more MLAs to make some changes.
