Islamabad. Another case of targeted killing of Hindus has come to the fore in Pakistan. Retired director of Karachi Municipal Corporation and Ophthalmologist Dr. Birbal Janani was shot dead near Lyari Expressway.
Assistant Dr. Qurat-ul-Ain was traveling with him in a car. Based on the CCTV footage of the attack, it is suspected to be a case of targeted killing.
This is the second case of attack on a Hindu doctor in Pakistan this month. Earlier this month, Dharam Dev Rathi, a doctor from Hyderabad, Pakistan, was allegedly killed by his driver inside his house.
The police said that the driver had slit the doctor’s throat with a knife. Police arrested the driver from his house in Khairpur and identified him as Hanif Leghari.
