Pakistan: Injections and essential medicines run out in hospitals, only essential medicines left for two weeks

slamabad: Due to the lack of injections and essential medicines in the hospitals of Pakistan, the general public has to struggle. Pakistan’s ‘Foreign Reserve’ has gone into the trough, due to which the import of essential medicines or essential items for making medicines is not possible.

According to the information received, surgery is not being done in the hospital due to lack of anesthesia in the operation theater and only two weeks of medicines and essential items are left in the operation theater (OT). Not only will it affect the patients, but the employment of many people will also be lost.

The Pakistani media is quoting news that due to the shortage of medicines and the necessary items for its manufacture, the pharmaceutical companies have reduced the products of medicines. Because of this the patients in the hospital are upset.

The drug manufacturers have accused the commercial banks of not issuing credit for the import of the drug, while blaming the economy. It is to be known that about 95% of Pakistan’s pharmaceutical products are dependent on imports, out of which imports from China and India are major
