Sources suggest that Lalan Singh may potentially step down from his role as the party’s national president. Ahead of the Delhi meeting, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar downplayed the situation, referring to it as a routine annual gathering. When queried about the JDU’s potential rejoining of the NDA and the prospect of a change in the national president, Kumar evaded direct responses.

Amidst the political turmoil in Bihar, Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has addressed the speculations surrounding Lalan Singh’s resignation, labeling it as a mere rumour. Tejashwi Yadav emphasized that national executive meetings are a routine for every party, citing RJD’s recent meeting at Tal Katora Stadium.

He noted that the caste-based survey conducted by RJD hasn’t received the attention it deserves. Meanwhile, JDU leaders continue to travel to Delhi for the National Executive meeting. Ministers Ashok Chaudhary, Sunil Kumar, and Vijendra Yadav from the Bihar government have departed from Patna Airport.

The political circles are buzzing with discussions about the potential repercussions for JDU national president Lalan Singh, with speculations of his proximity to RJD. The looming question revolves around Lalan Singh’s future.
