Azam Khan convicted in hate speech case, 2019 Lok Sabha elections matter

Rampur. Samajwadi Party’s strong leader Azam Khan has been convicted by the MP-MLA court of Rampur in the inflammatory speech case. The whole matter pertains to the year 2019, when during the Lok Sabha election campaign, Azam Khan was accused of giving hate speech in Dhamora under Shahzad Nagar police station area.

While addressing the public meeting, Azam Khan gave a derogatory and provocative speech. He also commented on PM Modi and CM Yogi. In this case ADO Panchayat Anil Kumar had filed a case in Shahzadnagar police station.

Significantly, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Samajwadi Party and BSP were contesting under the alliance and Azam Khan was the alliance candidate from Rampur.During that time there was a public meeting of Azam Khan in Dhamora of Shahzad Nagar police station area.

The video of the speech given by Azam Khan in this public meeting went viral on social media.In this viral video, Azam Khan had said objectionable things about the Chief Minister, the Prime Minister and the then District Magistrate and other officials.

On the basis of the viral video, ADO Panchayat Anil Kumar had filed a case against Azam in Shahzadnagar police station….
