ED Raid: A big news has come out from West Bengal. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has once again suffered a major setback. TMC minister Jyotipriya Malik has been arrested by ED after questioning.

ED first questioned TMC minister Jyotipriya Malik in a corruption case. This interrogation continued for 20 hours. After which he was arrested. However, before the arrest the minister had said that I was a victim of a big conspiracy. This is all I can say.

According to the information, ED officials had raided the house of State Forest Minister Jyotipriya Malik in connection with the alleged ration distribution scam worth several crores of rupees. Regarding this raid, an official had said that the Enforcement Directorate officials raided two flats of State Forest Minister Malik located in Salt Lake area of Kolkata.

Regarding this action, the ruling Trinamool Congress had said that it is nothing but politics of revenge. The officer had said that raids have also been conducted on eight other flats including the houses of Malik’s former personal assistant. He said that we have already arrested one person in this case.

Who reportedly has close ties with the ruling Trinamool Congress and Malik. That person is being interrogated there. The investigation into the minister’s bank accounts is also underway. The scam pertains to alleged irregularities in the public distribution system and ration distribution during the lockdown imposed due to Covid-19.

Officials from central investigating agencies recently searched the residences of Food and Supplies Minister Rathin Ghosh and Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim in the state. Raids were conducted at many places.
