West Bengal: Major accident in fair, explosion in helium cylinder while filling gas in balloon, 4 killed, 10 others injured

Baruipur: The news of a painful accident has come to the fore from West Bengal. A helium gas cylinder has exploded in a fair organized at Jaynagar in South 24 Parganas district of Bengal. Four people died and 10 others were injured in this accident.

According to the police, two of the four people killed in the blast were minors. This incident took place on Sunday night around 10 pm in Bantra village of Jaynagar police station area. Police said that the balloon seller was using a cylinder to fill gas in the balloon when the accident happened.

As soon as the information about this incident was received, a large number of emergency teams were sent to the accident site under the leadership of Jaynagar police station in-charge Inspector Rakesh Chakravati. According to the police, the bodies of the four people killed in the incident have been sent for postmortem by the police and all the injured have been admitted to Baruipur Hospital.

Two of the four people killed in the blast were minors. Balloon seller Muchiram Mandal (35) died on the spot, whose helium cylinder exploded. The other three killed in the blast have been identified as Shaheen Mulla (13), Abir Ghazi (8) and Qutubuddin Mistry (35).
