Kolkata. The CBI has summoned Manish Jain, Principal Secretary, West Bengal School Education Department, in connection with the investigation into alleged irregularities in recruitment in government jobs in the state of West Bengal.
An official of the investigating agency gave this information on Wednesday. He told that Manish Jain has been asked to appear before its officials on Thursday morning at the agency’s office in the city.
Manish Jain’s name came to the fore during the interrogation of former state minister Partha Chatterjee. Chatterjee has been arrested in this case. Manish Jain has been called for questioning for the second time.
Manish Jain appeared before the CBI in this case last year, when he was questioned for more than 5 hours.
