Giving information about this, the German Research Center for Geosciences said that on Saturday, an earthquake of magnitude 6 occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers in the islands of Andaman and Nicobar.
The National Center for Seismology said that an earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale occurred in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Saturday. The earthquake occurred about 126 km southeast of Port Blair.
In January this year, a 4.9 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Andaman Sea of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 77 km.
